David Powers
One half of
Minuteman Communications team, Dave Powers's name is known far and wide in the remote
broadcast arena. He is responsible for almost all visiting radio sports feeds originating
in the Boston area, working for hundreds of stations in his 15 plus years. He has also
been the main Boston IDB/Globecast engineer for years maintaining all of their digital and
analog audio feeds throughout New England area. More recently
he has taken over the home radio engineering for the Boston Celtics broadcasts. "There isn't a sports announcer
that's been to Boston, that doesn't know his name" a local sports writer recently
said. Dave along with his partner, John Mullaney started Minuteman Communications
over 10 years ago. They
have built a local company that is responsible for most of the live "on
location" radio broadcasts heard in the Boston area. Dave
also has traveled for several of the ABC radio network shows such as the Tom
Joyner Show, Rejoice and he is regular road engineer for ABC's
Doug Banks Show.
